Times

Times are rough these days.

I hear that a lot.  I have for a long time actually.  The way we run our town, our state, and our country is sickening.  The things we founded our country on have long since dissipated.  We used to elect officals to speak for us, to stick up for us, and to guide us.  Now we vote on whoever has money, whoever the ads make us feel is "right" for the job.  "I guess this feller gets my vote, hes finanically stable!"

I'll leave the politics to Chrisawn, but my point is that its affecting us all.  A dollar more for a gallon of gas means any goods that are transported are going to cost a lot more.  Whats NOT transported these days?  So what, my block of Velvetta is 25 cents more than it was last week.  Why does this affect me?   Well, I know I purchase 100+ items each week.  And lets just say its only a 20 dollar increase on my weekly shopping trip.  Let's go short term.  How much extra money am I spending a year?  Over $1,000.  Oops, I haven't even added in the increase for the gas for my car yet.

Expect to see more signs like this in the near future.

It's a huge circle.  And its hard to understand.  But the bottom line is, prices for goods are going up.  Quality is going down.  And your paycheck stays the same.

Welcome to America.
