Jor Kadeen, Metalcraft Overrunner
Its hard for me not to build a deck around this $1.49 legendary rare. I mean, with metalcraft he's an 8/4 first strike, and that beats titans correct? Even without that, just imagine a board with the following:
1X tempered steel
1X signal pest
1X ornithopter
1X Memnite
Drop this bad boy say turn 4 with the help of our mana ramp? swing for 18?
Seems good!
While having the creatures enable the metalcraft is great for the fast beats, it also makes metalcraft weaker since creatures are so easy to remove in this format. And without metalcraft, this deck loses its explosiveness and has to rely on its weak end game material.
Sure, a 5/4 first strike is decent but it loses to titans. Myr battlesphere and wurmcoils are great drops but i cannot run many since it clogs my starting hands. Eldrazi monuments are great to preserve your little creatures from mass removal but sometimes it hurts too much by losing metalcraft. I might run them sideboard instead....

I really like this concept and I think it would be a fun deck to play. I'm so very tired of Valakut.
that seems good man, like I said I'd probably still want the monuments in the sideboard against things like day of judgement, but dispatch is insane when you have metalcraft, and more ramp is really good.
